Heels.com has decided to make a change. Before you panic, read on and know that change is not always a bad thing…
As you may have noticed you haven’t seen an affiliate newsletter touting the next big discount that Heels.com is offering. If you’ve been even more astute, you would likely have been to the Heels.com site and noticed at least one coupon/promo offering going on in the absence of said newsletter, and thought “What gives?” So, I am here with the answer to that question.
Heels.com will continue to offer coupons. However, we will be pushing them out directly to affiliates through the networks with much less frequency. The decision behind this was not to make promoting Heels.com more difficult for you the affiliate, but rather to change the focus and image of Heels.com on a wider scale. By focusing the majority of our efforts in our banners and text links to promote the high quality, high fashion brands that Heels.com offers, we step further away from the realm of discount shoe store and a step back to what Heels.com truly is: the source for the hottest and best women’s footwear on the web.
For the sake of transparency, I feel that it is also fair to say that with economic situations being what they are and the costs of manufacturing, shipping, and storing great footwear product on the rise, Heels is also considering what is important to us with this program. For us, unlike many programs that are out there, it was more important to merely change our coupon strategy to gain back some margin rather than to cut our affiliate commission rates. We are proud to be offering one of, if not the highest commission rates of all shoe retailer affiliate programs and we want to keep it that way.
So…now what? What types of offers are you supposed to promote? To me, the answer is simple. Let the products that we carry speak for themselves. We have some of the best names, the best designers and best fashion footwear available. Customers are looking for these shoes! Let them know where to find it! In addition, we still have the standard Free 2nd Day Shipping offering as well as Free Returns on all orders.
Another question that I’m sure is burning in your mind is, “So, does this mean that affiliates cannot promote coupons for Heels.com?” The answer: absolutely not! Affiliates can definitely promote any coupons that are out there (exclusive offers excluded), however, they will not be delivered directly to you in the form of a newsletter each month. So, that means you’ll need to be a bit more proactive. Sign up for the Heels.com newsletter on their homepage. Just check out the feature section on the Heels.com homepage. Follow Heels.com on Twitter. Check this blog. For those affiliates willing to go the extra distance to stay up to date with what’s happening at Heels.com, we reward you with several offers to promote at any one time.
With that in mind, I wanted to let you know about the latest coupons out there for Heels.com that are up to grabs, but this post has gotten ridiculously long, so you’ll have to check them out after the jump…
